YEAR OF EMBROIDERY

On January 1st, 2022, I started a project where I would make one embroidery every day.

I wanted to push myself more into honouring the technical side of making art, but at the same time, I wanted to be exposed to the idea of a free creation, without the pressure from outside or my expectations.

I have limited myself in colour – using only black canvas and black thread, I could be in close dialogue with new techniques and stitches. This creative process became my daily meditation and can now serve as a personal database of possible designs.
